Why These Words Exist

My name is Andrey. Nadia is my mother. Her name means "Hope." Over 20 years ago, she carried me and my siblings from Ukraine to America, for a better life.

For years, she wrote poetry in the Notes app of her phone. Quiet, prayerful lines about faith, hope, and a homeland she left behind. No one ever knew. I believe she has a God-given gift — one that was never meant to stay hidden.

So I translated her words from Ukrainian into English, built this site, and published her collections, so her poetry could finally reach the hearts it was written for. She is the kindest, most selfless, and most loving person I know. I hope her words move you the way they have always moved me.
